AVID DNA COMING SOON
November 24, 2003

Jam Video announces plans for integration of the Avid DNA family of editors by mid-November. By becoming an all-Avid, all-DNA facility, Jam Video can now finish projects in perfect digital quality with industry leading Avid software used by over eighty percent of nationally airing network programming---and in real time.

By genetically splicing host-based software and hardware-based acceleration, Avid designed a revolutionary hybrid architecture that leverages a completely new family of Digital Nonlinear Accelerators (DNAs). These products provide the guaranteed real-time performance of a hardware-based system while delivering the platform flexibility and the performance scalability of a software-based system. The purpose-built DNA hardware works with the host CPU to offload those media processing tasks that are much more efficiently performed with dedicated hardware. Now transitions, keying, 3D animation, and true 3D compositing can be performed in real time with Avid quality.

Generation after generation, Avid solutions have bred new ways for media content creators to be more productive and more creative... just one more way Jam Video is Powerful Tools in Creative Hands.

SOUND FACELIFT

October 20, 2003

Jam Video recently upgraded its audio capabilities to include 32-bit multi-track recording and Dolby Digital Encoding. According to Production Manager Adam Mills, "It's simple; sound is a part of video. To make the best videos out there, you need the best sound available."

Now the fleet of Jam Video sound hardware includes all-UHF Audio-Technica wireless microphones, 4000-series Audio Technica condenser microphones, Shure vocal mics, Aardvark and Neundo Editing tools, SurCode and Pinnacle DVD authoring systems, for a total of 20 studio grade microphones and over 500 gigabytes of recording space.
